I’m beyond excited to be able to say that I’ve been invited to 2023’s Surrey New Writers Festival<\/a> to give an introductory session on interactive storytelling. <\/p>\n\n\n

As I’ve mentioned before, the University of Surrey is my alma mater<\/a>, at which I used to co-direct the SNWF<\/a>\u2014so it’s very surreal to be doing this all from the other side of things!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The talk, called ‘To Do Or Not To Do: An Introduction to Interactive Storytelling’, will look at how to get started with the writing interactive narratives\u2014in an interactive way, of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, I’ll also explore how to apply interactive techniques to novels, poetry, screenplays, and other traditionally “non-interactive” writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, I’ll be chairing a panel on Visual Writing, discussing how visual media change the way we write.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
